New York Post for iPhone App Reviews

OMG TWO WEEKS AND STILL CANT SCROLL DOWN

I understand the need for advertising, but I have to draw the line at the sudden explosion of loud video ads that wake up my kids when Im trying to read quietly. If I want to see/hear video Ill click on it. Also, the app "sticks" a lot and I cant scroll down when opening new articles. Im assuming this is also because advertisements are loading. Again, Im fine with advertising, but when it starts to ruin the experience of reading the articles I start thinking about paying for the NY Times.

The ad tech implementation is incredibly bad. Does anyone working at the Post actually use the app? You are treating paying customers like crap. Frequency, volume on, repetitiveness of ads have made the NY Post app almost unusable. Impossible to skip the interstitial ads without clicking on them. Wont be renewing. Word of advice: create a free tier with all the ad load you want,but dont hose your paying subs with bad user experience. Guarantee retention and engagement are dropping. Death spiral..

Crashes,,,, please update and fix crashes

iPad subscribers get little to no technical support. Viewing the app on a phone is a complete rip off as paid subscribers do not receive the same experience as with the iPad. The app should work seamlessly on all of the subscribers devices and the NY Post knows this. The Post is ripping off the advertisers as well. Shame on us all for continuing to pay for rotten service and dishonest business ethics.

I buy the nypost everyday and am rewarded with a an annoying app full of ads - ads that crash the app. Dont update.

Ads constantly popup and crash the app. The app stalls is weird places. Avoid this update!

Ads are causing the inability to scroll and read articles.

This could be a great app, but annoying ads pop up constantly. Youll cose them a few times, then it will get tedious and youll delete the app like I did. Get MSN News.

I havent even opened this app and Im not going to. I only downloaded it so I could give it the lowest rating I possibly could. The New York Post is just another horrible quasi-news gawker clone that feeds off of ruining peoples lives for publicity and views. Websites like this one and gizmodo are as cancerous as it gets, and should be ashamed of themselves for producing such horrible content. Im saying all of this in light of The New York Posts recent attack on Ken Bone. They ruined this genuinely kind hearted mans life by sifting through his Reddit posts and making him look like some kind of monster, which he isnt. So I say in the most genuine, un-ironic way possible; I hope you go bankrupt. #BoneZone

Regardless of your thoughts on the news provided by the app, its actually built really well. I have very poor internet in my office. Before going in, I refresh it and load about 20 articles for reading later when I need a short break. Neither FOX nor CNN allow that. Highly recommend it to people who want to read the news on their commute, but get poor internet reception

I pay for the iPad version....why not make the iPhone version ad free for those of us that support the IPad paid version? Very annoying ad banners and having to watch ads when trying to read or watch a story.

This app is only good for an education in how Chinese propaganda is bull horned at the citizens through the media. Journalism has died in America

I dont lo in daily for a Pulitzer Prize winning article about some nuance no one cares about. I read the news with opinion and the sleaze because I love it!

If you want an app that drains your battery faster than Darron Lee in a 40 yard dash then this is the app for you. The app crashes constantly, the ads make it horrible not to mention the times Ive gotten some stupid, "youve won an iPad" crap. Terrible app not even worth it for the sports section. Just because something is free doesnt mean it has to be terrible.
